This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. We stopped by What the Thai in downtown San Jose. It has a nice outdoor seating patio, though dust and tree leaves fall down from the slats above, which was a bit annoying. Our dishes were Hat Yai Fried Chicken: Hands down the best dish! It was a happy hour special, and while it looked dry at first, it was so tender and delicious. Mmmm good! Crispy Pork Belly: Great texture and very tasty. And Lamb Massaman Curry: The lamb itself was tender, but the curry sauce was just a bit too thick and savory for my taste. Service was really friendly and the food came out fast. If you stick to the main dishes and don't mind a little falling debris on the patio, it is a spot to check out.

Came for lunch with a group to support the new local business and enjoyed several dishes, all with unique tastes and flavors, spices. All the meat was great, crunchy rice was a great complement to the steak. Ambiance was great and staff was amicable. Free 90 min parking in the adjacent garage.

Very unique Thai food. Two of the dishes we loved: Rawang Curry was our favorite, and the Hang Leh Curry was also very good! The papaya salad wasnβt our favorite, itβs a traditional fish sauce thatβs very strong - probably good if youβre used to the version in Thailand. Overall very gourmet and flavorful, definitely would recommend exploring the menu! π₯°

I really enjoyed this place. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Lamb Shank Massaman Curry the meat was so tender it literally melted in my mouth. The Ribeye Surf & Turf Pad Thai was amazing as well, and the cocktails paired perfectly with the meal. Iβll definitely be coming back (:
